The SAVAGE ratings are based on each units performance against each opponent during the season. The points reported in the ratings are based on the predicted score that that the team would have or give up against an average opponent, and the difference column indicates how many points the team would win by. Against an average NFL opponent the Seahawks would win by 14.2 points while the Patriots would win by 13, and the Patriots would score more points than the Seahawks while the Seahawks would hold the average team to fewer points.
